The opposition may argue that school uniforms reduce crime and make grade averages go up. However, this is not true. Their has been no clear cut proof that school uniforms make grades of up (Endersby Par. ). In the United States the average grade is about a C, it does not seem that school uniforms affect this average in any way (Endersby). In regards to crime being cut back, school uniforms do the opposite. The uniforms mark students from rival schools out can lead to fights on the way home. That is what the school uniforms do not help cut crime. they can hurt money wise as well. some uniform codes, such as the st.regis one, require you to wear a button up shirt, an under shirt, a tie, good dress pants, and a belt (st.regis student handbook). this could come to about $200-$300.
